What does your cash flow look like? I hope you track it well, visibility is a biiig part of how you’d figure out your spending patterns.
Personally, for more than 3 months now, I’ve been freestyling with my budget. That does not sound too good, but it’s the undeniable truth! Especially when 0% installment plans are available.
Here’s an example of what I tracked on one credit card alone:

During my first job, I had no concept of using credit to purchase any product nor service. Thanks to my 2nd retail employer, I got qualified for my first card ever! From then on, I’ve accumulated a looot of credit (and I’m proud to claim that so far, I only missed payment once).
However, this signiiificantly introduced more Accounts Payable to my life. Sometimes, even more than what I earn… so I would resume living within my means – after so many ‘wants’ granted with just a simple tap of a plastic card whenever I swing by physical stores. There resides the slippery slope of credit usage!
All those cashbacks and points made it somewhat more bearable though. If you’d ask me in 2019 which one I’d lean towards between debit and credit, I woud’ve said debit. But now, I would say a mix of both credit and… digital bank debit – MariBank still has cashback when you scan a QRPH to pay. So, yay!
P.S. Do not drown in debt, okay.
